OXFORD UNIVERSITY RUG CARE

These are not ordinary carpets.

From delicate silk and fine woven rugs to grand runners and statement pieces, some of the rugs entrusted to Appolo are valued at £30,000 to £40,000 each. Each one needs patient assessment, the right method and a level of care that respects the material, dyes and construction.

This is specialist work. The focus is on thoughtful cleaning, controlled moisture and preserving the appearance and finish of every piece between scheduled visits.

WHY SPECIALIST CARE MATTERS

Material first

Silk, wool, dyes, construction and condition determine how the item is approached.

Control at every stage

Cleaning is selected for the piece, with care taken around moisture, pile and colour.

Respect the value

High-value rugs are handled as individual pieces, never as a standard clean.
