Tile and grout
Show the tile surface and joints, including cracks or loose grout. Different finishes and grout conditions affect the approach; dark joints alone do not establish what treatment is suitable.
Cleaning and restoration enquiries for tile, stone, vinyl and sealed-wood floors across Oxfordshire. Appolo considers the surface, finish and existing condition before discussing suitable work.
A floor that looks dull may have surface soiling, residue from maintenance products, worn finish or damage. These are different problems. Tell Appolo the floor material and any seal or finish you know about, and send a wide photo with close-ups of joints, marks or damaged areas. If you are unsure whether a floor is stone, tile or another material, say so.
Cleaning and restoration are not interchangeable. Routine cleaning may improve soiling without repairing scratches, broken grout or a failing finish. Discuss whether the goal is maintenance cleaning or a wider restoration assessment, and confirm the scope before booking. Do not assume resealing or repairs are included in a cleaning quotation.

Identify the stone where possible and mention seals or products used. Natural stone can need care specific to its finish, and stain damage may require a different conversation from everyday cleaning.
Tell Appolo about worn finishes, lifting edges or other damage. Moisture and cleaning products must be considered for the material; a method suitable for tile is not automatically suitable for these floors.
List the approximate floor area and furniture that can be cleared. Explain where the room meets carpet or other sensitive surfaces, and provide access details. For a workplace, agree how the cleaned area will be kept available for the work.
Ask when the floor can be walked on and what ongoing maintenance is suitable for the agreed treatment. Drying or curing advice depends on the surface and work undertaken. Follow that advice before replacing furnishings or resuming regular cleaning.

Explore actual cleaning footage and before-and-after photographs. Individual materials and conditions vary, so examples show the work rather than promise an identical result.
See Appolo’s results →Only if it is specifically assessed and included in the quotation. Cleaning, sealing, restoration and repairs are separate scopes of work.
Cleaning removes soiling; it does not necessarily repair damaged material or finish. Send photos so Appolo can discuss what improvement is realistic and whether further work is needed.
Provide approximate dimensions, the floor material or clear photos, details of the finish and the main problem. Mention previous products used, damaged areas and access restrictions.
